Celtic Shores is a modern development of security gated apartments situated right on the beach in the pretty coastal village of Downderry, about 8 miles east of Looe.  Downderry is in the centre of the broad bay which stretches from Rame head in the east to Looe Island in the west, it is about a mile east of Seaton which in turn is about 5 miles along the coast from Looe, although by road it is a bit further.
The quiet village of Downderry is self contained and includes a Post office/grocery shop, a pub with fabulous views over the Bay, with a restaurant that has recently been refurbished. There is also another good restaurant, and a coffee shop in the square. The village is on a bus service to Plymouth, Liskeard and Looe.
The beach at Downderry is fine grey sand with colourful shingle and stretches from about a mile east of Downderry to Seaton in the west and beyond. The beach has a lot of rocky outcrops which makes many many rock pools at low tide. It is a lovely walk along the beach to Seaton where it is clear of rocks, and there is also a café/restaurant right on the beach. There is a beautiful walk from Seaton along the river to Hessenford where there is a good Pub. There are many scenic walks in the area, and Bodmin Moor is within easy reach by car, with sites of historic interest, and unusual rock formations to be seen at Minions village.
The accommodation is on the first floor easily accessed by stairs or lift and this spacious apartment has a good sized balcony with garden furniture and wonderful sea and coastal views. The main living area is the open plan sitting room, dining area and kitchen and it is from here that the balcony is accessed. There is colour TV, DVD and satellite reception and radio/CD player etc. the kitchen is very well fitted with a ceramic hob set in a marble work surface, a built in oven and microwave, fridge and freezer The washer/drier is situated in the small utility room. The double bedroom with king sized bed has an en-suite shower room and there is a beautifully appointed family bathroom. A twin bedded room completes the accommodation. Two, secure car parking spaces are provided and there are communal gardens leading to the adjoining beach. The efficient underfloor heating system, thermostatically controlled by room ensures a comfortable stay at any time of the year.
