Truly magnificent waterfront apartment suitable for the disabled
Teglios comprises the upper two floors of a large period property on the edge of Looe harbour. The property is wonderfully spacious, is full of character and has the most lovely views of Looe harbour from all the principal rooms. In addition the property has been thoughtfully equipped to make it suitable for guests with disabilities.
On entering the property by a wide doorway there are stairs and a stair-lift to the first floor landing. This is spacious and floored throughout in oak and gives access to: the master bedroom, a lovely dual aspect room furnished with a queen sized double bed and an electrically adjustable, single bed and period furniture. Also on this level is another double bedroom with queen sized bed and a bedroom with full sized bunk beds. The main bathroom on this level is arranged as a fully tiled wet room with large shower area (suitable for use with a wheelchair), bath, basin and w.c. Finally the utility room is located on this floor and is equipped with a washing machine, a dryer and an additional fridge.
Stairs, again with stair-lift lead to the upper floor landing. From here access is gained to the shower room with shower enclosure, basin and w.c. and the vast sitting/dining room/kitchen. This is a stunning room being some 40 feet long, floored in solid oak and with two sets on french doors to juilet balconies. The ceiling is high with exposed beams and a gallery room has been created which has a double sofa bed for occasional use. The furnishings are a happy blend of the modern and the traditional including high quality burgundy leather sofas and armchairs, period furniture and, in common with the other rooms, attractive fabrics.
The dining area has a very large mahogany dining table just perfect for entertaining. There is a flatscreen TV with Freeview and a DVD, a CD/Radio and football game table. The kitchen area is open plan to this room and is in cream of Shaker style, fully fitted with halogen hob, electric oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and microwave. There is a small breakfast table and chairs.
Throughout Teglios there are lovely examples of period furniture and paintings and many decorative items of taste and interest.
The location is superb with the main sandy beach of Looe only a minutes stroll away as is a wide selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. The busy harbour with its constant flow of fishing and pleasure craft is a delightful prospect both by day and night.
The accommodation will be appreciated by those wishing to be at the heart of the old town with all that it has to offer immediately to hand.
