Located only 2.5 miles from the a ancient port of Looe Churchtown Cottage provides the opportunity to stay in what must be one of the most beautiful spots in Cornwall. Set amongst three acres of beautifully planted and manicured gardens and lawns the cottage is the right hand part of a quite beautiful and historic property. In addition to the wonderful grounds (which have on occasions been open to the public) there is also a large swimming pool for your exclusive use, a private terrace with garden furniture and a barbecue and hidden spots around the grounds where you can sit and enjoy the gardens and wildlife which are in such rich abundance.

The accommodation is quaint and rambling but is not luxurious. The plan is to modernise it in the future after which it will be very swish but for now it offers a basic level of amenity kept clean and bright but simple and with decor from a time past. The bathroom has a bath with shower over. The bedrooms have comfortable beds and adequate storage. The kitchen has the basics, nothing space age here but a cooker, fridge, freezer etc, all the essentials plus a slate shelved pantry. There is a pretty dining room giving access to the terrace and grounds and a small, simply furnished sitting room with TV and DVD etc.

Upstairs there are three bedrooms two doubles and a single all with lovely views.

The accommodation is not the point though. The grounds, the peace and quiet, the stunning views of the village church just a few yards distant, the wild pheasants strolling around the lawns, the delightful countryside walks and the pool are all quite breathtaking. Come and enjoy it this year at a very reasonable cost, you will feel privileged to have done so!
