Autumn & the Festive Season

As the summer season draws to a close our thoughts turn to autumn breaks or, a little further away, to Christmas and the New Year. Cornwall’s many fine gardens are a delight when the autumn colours of reds and golds replace the vibrant greens of high summer. Many of the gardens are independently owned and managed and several are in the care of the National Trust, all are worth a visit. For wet or chilly times, the Eden Project is a great day out and there are a host of galleries to visit and evening concerts to enjoy. A useful resource to check on what’s happening is the VisitCornwall what’s-on page of their website which can be found here:Whats on Cornwall, the official guide to events + festivals from Visit Cornwall

Looking ahead to the festive season why not blow away the cobwebs with a bracing walk on the coastal path and let someone else have the preparation of your Christmas lunch and book in at one of the many great restaurants that can be found in Looe and Polperro. The New Year is fun too in Looe with the streets full of revellers in fancy dress as they stroll from restaurants and pubs to enjoy the fireworks on the Banjo pier at midnight.

Whether Christmas and New Year are fun-filled times for you or a quieter, more reflective break is more your style, Cornish Collection has a huge range of properties to suit every taste. The town centre properties are ideal for those seeking out nighttime events whilst the country and coastal cottages and apartments are perfect for the reflective or the more energetic visitor.

Whatever your style be sure to browse through the Cornish Collection portfolio of cottages, villas and apartments, you’ll be sure to find something to suit.
