Half Term is nearly here
With the first school holiday of this year nearly here it's a great time to consider an early spring break in Cornwall. There lots of events planned for the week in and around Looe and below you will find a list of just a few of the activities. The spring flowers are appearing and the days are getting longer so why not book a cottage or apartment for a break now?
10 - 18 Feb | Early Man at The Eden Project Get ready for a prehistoric adventure of epic proportions at Eden this half-term. In association with Early Man, the major new film release from Nick Park and Aardman. Bring your tribe to Eden for intrepid adventures and behind-the-scenes fun based on the latest adventure by the creators of Chicken Run and Wallace & Gromit. The film, starring Tom Hiddleston, Eddie Redmayne, Maisie Williams, Timothy Spall and Richard Ayoade, is the first feature directed by the four-time Oscar-winner Nick Park since 2005’s Wallace & Gromit adventure The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. Set at the dawn of time, when prehistoric creatures roamed the earth, Early Man tells the story of courageous caveman hero Dug and his best friend Hognob as they unite his tribe against a mighty enemy to save their home. www.edenproject.com |

11 & 18 Feb | Snowdrop Sundays 2018 at Pencarrow House The Pencarrow Snowdrop Sundays are on the 11th and 18th Feb 2018. Entrance by donation, 10am - 4pm. The Peacock Cafe will be open for refreshments and dogs are welcome in the gardens. The 11th is in aid of the dog charity Last Chance Hotel and the 18th is for Blood Bikes, who carry vital supplies of blood where it's needed |
12 - 14 Feb | Bushcraft for Kids – Cotehele House (NT) Something to entertain the kids this half term. They will build a shelter, light a controlled fire and learn survival skills in the wild. Suitable for ages 7-15, wear clothing appropriate for the weather. 17 Feb 12.30pm | A Winter Wonderland: February Half-Term Rockpool Ramble Venue: Hannafore Beach Meet below the Coastguard Station at Hannafore, West Looe – look for the Looe Marine Conservation Group sailflags!
