About Arches No 1

Arches No 1 is a newly refurbished holiday apartment fresh on the market for 2024. Sitting in a fantastic position overlooking the river mouth in Looe, it is a stunning apartment that boasts everything you need for a relaxing and memorable stay. 

This ground-floor apartment has two beautifully appointed bedrooms designed to offer comfort and a restful night's sleep after a day of exploring the local attractions. Both bedrooms have king-size beds with high-quality bedding and linens as well as ample clothes storage. The master bedroom has an ensuite shower room with a bath and a shower over plus there is a second shower room with a walk-in shower.

Both the master bedroom and the open plan living/dining room enjoy the breathtaking sea views and these can also be enjoyed from the small furnished deck area to the front of the apartment, the perfect spot to feel the sea breeze rejuvenate your spirits whilst you watch the comings and goings on the river below. The dining table sits in the large bay window so that the views can be enjoyed throughout shared mealtimes and the lounge has comfortable sofas and a large Smart TV for cosy evenings in.

To the rear of the property is the small but well-equipped kitchen complete with electric oven and gas hob, fridge freezer, slim line dishwasher plus everything you would expect in a well-equipped self-catering kitchen.

Whether you are seeking a serene escape, an adventure-filled holiday, to explore the charm of the nearby seaside cafes, or to venture out on one of the many exciting boat trips on offer in Looe, Arches 1 is the ideal base for creating memories by the sea.

As you can see from the photographs The Arches is in an elevated position in West Looe, therefore the walk into the town although not far, does involve some hills and steps. There is free on-road parking along the road at Hannafore and it is possible to pull up close to the front of the apartment to unload. There is a slope of around 20 paces from the road and then approximately 10 stone steps leading to the front of the apartment.

Arches No 1 can be booked with Arches No 1A and Arches No 3 which can accommodate 6 and 4 guests respectively, meaning parties of up to 14 guests can enjoy holidaying close by whilst retaining their own space and facilities. Please note this is a ground floor apartment so there can be some noise transference from above.

We had a wonderful stay at Arches No 1. The booking process was straight forward and our booking questions were answered quickly. The location of the apartment is perfect, in a quiet location with beautiful views and only a short walk to restaurants etc. Luckily we were always able to park a short walk away so the lack of dedicated parking wasn't an issue. Inside the apartment was lovely and modern, clean and had everything we needed for a few days away. The outside area was lovely to sit out and enjoy the views

We absolutely loved our stay! The apartment was beautiful, exactly as the pictures showed, clean and modern. Waking up to that view every morning was unreal and we were so sad we had to leave! We had to be up at 3.30am the morning we arrived as we had such a long drive so the unexpected 3 hour earlier check in was so appreciated. Looe is a beautiful location and lots to do including crabbing by the harbour, boat hire, beach days and lots of fab places to eat and drink. It’s easily accessible by car to visit other areas of Cornwall while you’re there too! Thank you for an amazing stay, we absolutely loved it!

Amazing stay in Looe, the photos on Air BnB do not do the views and apartment justice. Parking is available around the corner and there is a place to unload the car. The walk into town is great and only takes 10 minutes. Very comfy beds and has everything you need for a holiday.

We had the most wonderful few days in this beautiful apartment. Helena was a fabulous host. Everything was perfect… spotlessly clean & comfortable. The view from the apartment is stunning. We spent hours sat outside on the decking just watching the boats go by and staring out to sea. It was so relaxing. It’s perfect for picking up the SW coast path & the cafe at Talland Bay is a perfect pit stop. We’ll definitely be back… especially as we want to see what pictures go in the frames on the wall in the lounge! Seriously though… we couldn’t fault it. We can’t wait to go back!
