Arches No 1 is a newly refurbished holiday apartment. Sitting in a fantastic position overlooking the river mouth in Looe, it is a stunning apartment that boasts everything you need for a relaxing and memorable stay.
This ground-floor apartment has two beautifully appointed bedrooms designed to offer comfort and a restful night's sleep after a day of exploring the local attractions. Both bedrooms have king-size beds with high-quality bedding and linens as well as ample clothes storage. The master bedroom has an ensuite shower room with a bath and a shower over plus there is a second shower room with a walk-in shower.
Both the master bedroom and the open plan living/dining room enjoy the breathtaking sea views and these can also be enjoyed from the small furnished deck area to the front of the apartment, the perfect spot to feel the sea breeze rejuvenate your spirits whilst you watch the comings and goings on the river below. The dining table sits in the large bay window so that the views can be enjoyed throughout shared mealtimes and the lounge has comfortable sofas and a large Smart TV for cosy evenings in.
To the rear of the property is the small but well-equipped kitchen complete with electric oven and gas hob, fridge freezer, slim line dishwasher, washer/dryer plus everything you would expect in a well-equipped self-catering kitchen.

As you can see from the photographs The Arches is in an elevated position in West Looe, therefore the walk into the town although not far, does involve some hills and steps. There is free on-road parking along the road at Hannafore and it is possible to pull up close to the front of the apartment to unload. There is a slope of around 20 paces from the road and then approximately 10 stone steps leading to the front of the apartment.
Arches No 1 can be booked with Arches No 1A and Arches No 3 which can accommodate 6 and 4 guests respectively, meaning parties of up to 14 guests can enjoy holidaying close by whilst retaining their own space and facilities. Please note this is a ground floor apartment so there can be some noise transference from above.

We had a wonderful week in Looe. You have a fantastic view of the bay of Looe. The apartment is exactly as shown in the pictures and as described. The furnishings are of a high standard, and we felt very comfortable. Definitely recommend. The location is also great as a starting point for hikes. Parking was not a problem. We always found a free parking space a little further down the road.
The apartment is very nicely located above Looe. You have a wonderful view of the beach and the river. The location right on the Southwest Coast Path invites you to go hiking in both directions. There is a supermarket nearby. It was relatively easy to find a parking space on the street, although there were always a lot of cars parked. The apartment seems to have been newly renovated. High-quality furniture, bathrooms, floors and carpets. The kitchen is superbly equipped.
We had a great week at no1 The Arches. Some of the best accommodation we have ever stayed in. It is difficult to fault it in anyway. The duvet was a little thick for summer but that is a minor personal thing - that is the only thing I can say! The apartment, location and the view was amazing.

Arches No.1 is clean, cosy and well equipped and has one of the most amazing views! It is in a peaceful location with convenient free parking nearby in Hannafore and is in easy reach of all the shops, restaurants and beach in Looe (especially when the ferry is running!)
Fabulous view of Looe beach (sand). Easy access into town and Looe harbour one way and along Hannafore beach (shingle and rocks) the other way. Also, easy access to the south-west coastal path. The flat is a very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen, bedrooms each with a king-size bed and bathrooms with digitally controlled showers. We enjoyed eating meals while taking in the view out of the living/dining room window!
A beautiful apartment in an excellent location. Stunning views from the living room and bedroom. Loved having evening drinks on the terrace. Perfect walking distance into Looe where there were lots of lovely eating places. Great for walks along the coast path.
We had a lovely relaxing stay. The apartment had everything we needed and the view of the beach and coastline is stunning. It was easy to explore nearby places like Fowey and Polperro.

We have just returned from a weeks stay at Helena’s property, we stayed over New Year. We had an amazing time, the property is so well stocked with everything you might need in the kitchen. The beds are very comfortable, it is a real home from home. The views from the property are stunning and we are already missing them!! We hope to return again soon!
Wow, what an incredible place! The accommodation was perched high over Looe overlooking the pier and beach - even on the drizzly days, it was just amazing to sit in that enormous bay window watching the boats and swimmers come and go. The standard of the apartment was second to none, high end technology throughout, especially loved the smart showers! Fast WiFi should you need it, good for streaming on the smart TV, and more sockets with integrated USB charging point than you’d ever need! And the beds were possibly the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in. Everything in Looe is within walking distance, and the selection of shops, restaurants, bars and back streets to explore is fantastic! Within 30 mins drive from Looe, there’s a heap of places to visit too, picturesque fishing villages and stunning beaches and coastline. We had an absolutely wonderful week here, despite the inclement weather we encountered, and a little piece of our hearts were left in Cornwall. We will return!!
The views were stunning! The apartment was cosy, clean and tidy and had everything we needed from a full equip kitchen to family games! Looe is a lovely town and the beach is on your doorstep, highly recommended!
The apartment and its location were simply wonderful. Above all, the view of the harbour and the beach of Looe were fantastic. We felt very comfortable, everything was absolutely clean and in order. Shops and restaurants were close by. Helena gave us helpful tips, thank you for that and for the very nice stay. One of the most beautiful vacation rentals we have ever spent our vacation in.

Absolutely fantastic stay! The apartment was spotlessly clean and exceptionally well maintained, making it feel like a true home away from home. The view over Looe Harbour and Beach was nothing short of breath taking – we spent hours just watching the tide roll in and out. Every amenity we could need was thoughtfully provided, from a well-equipped kitchen to cosy furnishings throughout. The attention to detail really made a difference. A perfect base for exploring Looe and the surrounding area – we wouldn’t hesitate to return. Five stars all round!
Stunning apartment, fantastic views. Super clean and comfortable. Just as the photos described. Bit of a hill walk to get back up from Looe, but only takes 10 mins and the taxi boat runs regularly to take you to the other side of you don’t fancy walking over the bridge. Great selection of restaurants and bars. Will definitely recommend staying here, you won’t be disappointed. We had no issues with on street parking less than 10mins walk up the road.
We had such a lovely stay here. The view was a favourite for all of us. I think it would probably be judged to be the best view in Looe. The showers were amazing too. To be fair everything was fabulous and felt luxurious. The owners were responsive., the apartment had everything you could need and more. The walk into town was just right. Thank you

Outstanding! The Arches no 1 had everything we needed and more. This was out first visit to Looe and we will definitely be back. In a fabulous location with beautiful views across the bay, I'm going to miss waking up to that view every day. We managed to grab a parking spot on Hannafore Rd and had no issues getting another one whenever we moved the car. The apartment was spotless and was a real home from home, the bed was so comfortable and the kitchen had everything you could possible need. We loved every minute of our stay. Thank you Helena.
Travelling is a learning and lifetime experience. This staycation will be one of the most memorable one in our lifetime. The images from the window, master bedroom and living room, were breath taking and will forever imprint our mind. We had a wonderful stay at Arches No 1. The booking process was straight forward and our booking questions were answered quickly. The location of the apartment is perfect, in a quiet location with beautiful views and only a short walk to restaurants etc. Luckily we were always able to park a short walk away so the lack of dedicated parking wasn't an issue. Inside the apartment was lovely and modern, clean and had everything we needed for a few days away. The outside area was lovely to sit out and enjoy the views

We absolutely loved our stay! The apartment was beautiful, exactly as the pictures showed, clean and modern. Waking up to that view every morning was unreal and we were so sad we had to leave! We had to be up at 3.30am the morning we arrived as we had such a long drive so the unexpected 3 hour earlier check in was so appreciated. Looe is a beautiful location and lots to do including crabbing by the harbour, boat hire, beach days and lots of fab places to eat and drink. It’s easily accessible by car to visit other areas of Cornwall while you’re there too! Thank you for an amazing stay, we absolutely loved it!
Amazing stay in Looe, the photos on Air BnB do not do the views and apartment justice. Parking is available around the corner and there is a place to unload the car. The walk into town is great and only takes 10 minutes. Very comfy beds and has everything you need for a holiday.

We had the most wonderful few days in this beautiful apartment. Helena was a fabulous host. Everything was perfect… spotlessly clean & comfortable. The view from the apartment is stunning. We spent hours sat outside on the decking just watching the boats go by and staring out to sea. It was so relaxing. It’s perfect for picking up the SW coast path & the cafe at Talland Bay is a perfect pit stop. We’ll definitely be back… especially as we want to see what pictures go in the frames on the wall in the lounge! Seriously though… we couldn’t fault it. We can’t wait to go back!
