About Portwrinkle

This bijou purpose built apartment is on a hillside above West Looe with stunning views up the River, across to the town, down to the beach below and along the coast as far as Rame Head and beyond which is Plymouth Sound. It also comes with allocated parking for a small to medium sized car.

The owners refurbished Portwrinkle after the Covid Lockdown with new furnishings all to a very high standard, to include, in the main living space, an open plan theme which takes advantage of the magnificent views. There is a fully fitted kitchen area complete with oven, hob, fridge, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, Tassimo pod coffee machine etc. There is also a designated dining area and the comfortable lounge area has a 44” Smart TV with both terrestrial and Freeview channels – if you subscribe to Netflix, Prime or Catchup they can be viewed on this TV through the wifi signal.

In the bedroom you will find a king size bed complete with one of the best mattresses available guaranteeing you a good night’s sleep and when you open your eyes in the morning you may see the sun rising over the beautiful coastline and beaches before you even lift your head off the pillow. To complete the apartment there is a modern shower room with wash hand basin and toilet.

The SW coast path runs right past the apartment leading to Hannafore Beach (five minutes), Talland Bay (45/60 minutes) and Polperro a little further along the path. All the many amenities of East Looe can be reached by walking up the riverside and over the town bridge. Although this only takes a few minutes, when the tide allows, there is a passenger ferry that crosses the river for those of a more sedentary disposition at a cost of just £1. East Looe boasts numerous shops, restaurants and pubs and a magnificent beach which Portwrinkle overlooks.

The reserved parking space to the rear of the building is for a small to medium sized car. There are several flights of steep steps from the parking area to the property, for those with limited mobility please read the accessibility statement in the facilities tab or contact us for further information. Strictly no pets or smoking - Portwrinkle is an apartment in a pet free building.

Comfortable apartment, perfect for a couple, with everything you need. Stunning views, bonus to have parking on site. Would certainly recommend and hope to be back ourselves. You do need to be fit to manage the steps to the car park!

Well worth the long journey to find this gem of an apartment, which is comfortable well thoughtout, equipped and well prepared. We have enjoyed coastal and woodland walks, touring some other villages, plus many of the attractions of Looe, alas, not sufficient time to enjoy them all. A returning visit would appear to be necessary. A big thank you to all those that made this visit so pleasant for us.

Had a wonderful stay in Looe. Plenty to see and do also amazing walks along the coast path. The view from the apartment windows are fantastic and to sit and watch the sunrise. Recommend the Hannafore Point Hotel for food also the blue peter inn at Polperro and the apartment has everything need. Thank you for a lovely holiday.
