Introduction: Bay cottage is situated in the Plaidy area of East Looe and is one of a group of properties known as Kellow Coastal Cottages. There are two allocated parking spaces for the cottage in the communal car park. This has 23 concrete steps of varying sizes down to the garden path. Plaidy beach is a 5/7min moderately downhill walk away, with Millendreath beach being 5/7 mins walk down approx 50 uneven steep steps. There are beaches in East Looe which are a 25 min walk via the coastal path (very steep on the return walk) or 3 miles by car, with parking at the Millpool pay and display car park. The Looe railway station is 3 miles and situated in the town. The nearest bus stop and public telephone is in the Barbican shops/school area which is approx 1 mile and a 20 min steep hilly walk. Exterior: From the steps at the beginning of the garden path there is an 8in (20cm) step, it is then 15 paces to the front door. There is access to drive down to the property for loading/unloading by taking the first left past the car park entrance into a narrow driveway. There is a patio area and grass garden area to the front of the property with out-door table and chairs available. Living Areas: The main front door is 30in (66cm) with a threshold step of 4in (10cm) into the internal porch which is 39in (1mt) square and leads to the entry door to the cottage which it is 28in (71cm) wide with no threshold step. This leads into the open plan lounge which has a remote controlled TV and DVD facilities, in turn it leads through to an open plan kitchen /dining area, this entire area is carpeted. There is a built in under stairs cupboard which houses the Hoover, ironing board etc. Light switches are 52in (132cm) from the floor and the electric sockets are located above the skirting boards throughout. The carpeted stairs lead off the lounge, there are 13 stairs with one right angle turn, the stairs are 7in (17cm) in height and handrails are fitted to the walls. The stair case is 27in (69cm) in width. The dining area has a table and seating for 5 people. To the left of the dining area is the kitchen. There are no narrow areas or areas of restricted access. Access to the rear of the property is from the half glazed door in the dining area. It is 26in (66cm) wide with a threshold step of 1.5in (4cm) out on to a concrete area. To access the back passage walk way there are 4 concrete upward steps of 8in (20cm) each, the width of the passage varies as it passes the back of the adjacent property but is an average of 60in (153cm) wide. There are no steps or access to the sloping grass area. Kitchen: The high and low level wall mounted cupboards are in a āuā shape formation. Facilities include built in dishwasher, electric cooker and 4 ring hob, fridge and microwave, the washing/drying machine is free standing abutting the end of the kitchen units. The sink/drainer unit has a built in cupboard beneath. There are fitted carpet tiles in the kitchen, the work surface height is 36.5in (93cm). The electric sockets are located 4.5in (11cm) from the work surface. Bedrooms: This is a 3 bedroom property comprising one double, one twin and one single. The door to the double bedroom is 23.5in (59cm) wide and the doors to the twin and single are25in (64cm) in width. In the twin room the space between the beds is 20in (51cm). Bathrooms: The family bathroom is located on the first floor and has a bath with mixer shower over it, toilet ā height 16.5in (42cm) and basin Additional Notes: This property has electric night storage heating and double glazed windows throughout. The accommodation is suitable for mobile adults and children; there is space for a cot if required.

Customer reviews of Bay Cottage
We had a fantastic stay at Bay Cottage. The house was clean and warm. The kitchen offers everything and more than you need in your holiday. For facilities such as shops and restaurants you do need a car. We were there in April and it was wonderfully quiet. All you heard were birds and the sea.
