Cobwalls is a delightful, period cottage (thought to be early 17th c) situated only a minutes walk from the riverside and five to ten minutes from the bustling centre of Looe with its ancient harbour, shops, restaurants, pubs and large sandy beach. The cottage is detached with a small but pretty garden and with the accommodation arranged over two floors. A parking space is available directly opposite the property in a reserved car park. The main door from the porch leads to the combined sitting dining room. This is a very comfortable room and, as with the rest of the cottage, it has many period features. The focal point is the ancient fireplace with its multi-fuel stove (an initial supply of fuel is provided) which is a great comfort on a chilly evening. Comfortable furnishings and interesting decorative features make this a very relaxing environment. A TV with DVD & video are provided as are a CD/radio and a good selection of books. Leading from the sitting area is the well fitted kitchen which has an electric oven , hob & grill, a microwave, dishwasher and a washer/drier.
From the dining area stairs lead to the upper floor where will be found the pretty double bedroom with its unusual fireplace and period furniture - all blending happily with the feel of the cottage. Also on this level is a wood panelled bedroom furnished with 26" wide bunk beds.
To the front of the cottage is a sitting area with garden furniture which forms a most pleasant area to sit and enjoy a drink on a summers evening.
All in all a delightful spot, full of character and very peaceful and yet with all that the busy town of Looe provides just a stroll away.
