About Anchorage

Anchorage is a stunning dormer bungalow situated on the South East Cornish coast with beautiful sea views. The conversion has been completed to a very high standard and we look forward to welcoming our first guests in 2021.

The accommodation is arranged over two floors and with a ground floor bedroom and shower room caters for some guests with limited mobility. Ground floor accommodation comprises a beautiful modern kitchen which is fully fitted and includes double electric ovens, an island with a five ring gas hob, a drinks fridge and all the usual mod cons. The kitchen is open plan to the dining area which takes advantage of the beautiful views across the patio to the sea beyond. In turn this is open plan to the lounge with a comfortable L-shaped sofa and a wood burning stove. Bi-fold doors open back to allow the fresh sea air to breeze in on warm days as well as access out on to a furnished patio area and gardens. Off the lounge is a downstairs double bedroom with en suite shower room and this also has doors out on to the patio. Winter 2021 is seeing the addition of new glass and stainless steel balustrade around the patio with new photographs to follow when the work is complete.

Upstairs are a large master bedroom, attractive twin room and family bathroom with free-standing bath and separate shower cubicle. The views from the bedrooms are again magnificent and a balcony runs the width of the upper rooms and has 180 degree sea views including Looe Island to the West and Rame Head to the East.

Millendreath beach is a large sandy beach with a popular beach bar and bistro, this is a five minute walk down but longer on the way back up as there are numerous step. Plaidy beach is quieter shaley beach with lots of rockpools to explore at low tide, this is also a five minute walk down but a bit longer on the way up the hill. Looe town centre is a five minute drive or 20 - 25 minute walk along the beautiful South West Coastal path and there is parking at the house for 3 - 4 cars.
