Customer reviews of River View Retreat
It was our first time staying in Looe and also our first time booking an Airbnb.
Although the weather wasn't on our side for the majority of the week, we fell in love with Looe. If you can get the weather, it's as good as being abroad sitting on the beach.
The house was lovely and well equipped for the six of us that stayed. We had everything we could possibly need for a really enjoyable stay. The hosts were really friendly and responded in a timely manner to any questions I had.
We booked the house for a quiet family Christmas and it was perfect. The house is spacious and had been nicely decorated including a tree. All bedrooms and bathrooms are a good size. The main lounge/kitchen/dining room has a warm and comfortable feeling and has plenty of seating and space. The kitchen is well equipped. The location is perfect. Close enough to walk into the town where there are some really good places to eat and drink, but far enough to be quiet and peaceful. The only possible negative is accessibility as there are a lot of steps up from where the parking is situated and a smaller number from the house up to the main road.
Kim Greenwood - September 2025
The property was spotlessly clean. It was in a great position and within easy walking distance of the town and beach. A great place for a great holiday.
Hayley Varney - August 2025
We had a fantastic stay. The property was perfect. Beautifully decorated. Very clean. Comfortable beds and luxurious bathrooms. Every need catered for. Loved the balcony area. There was 8 of us staying and the house was more than big enough to cater for us all. A short stroll to Looe town centre but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful.
We had a lovely week here. It was very convenient to get into Looe and lots to do in the area and leave the cars at the house. We had a good sized garage to keep the bikes in as well as the car. We had a problem with the electrics tripping twice but the host was extremely responsive and an electrician arrived within a couple of hours and fixed the problem. There were no further problems that week.
The house was amazing - so clean and tidy! The amount of things that were provided was excellent, we had a fabulous stay and would come back again. Loved the games room!

Well equipped and furnished property. Felt very homely, beds very comfortable. Living and dining space good. Walk into Looe easy and nice to be close to pubs and restaurants. Would highly recommend.
Fantastic house in a lovely convenient location. Well furnished and spotlessly clean. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Loved the little games room where we would play pool and table tennis together as well as the little side room where we could have a drink and talk.

The property is in a perfect location in Looe! Little walk down the road and you'll be down by the river. Lovely views from the living room. Plenty of space inside the property, and all the amenities you could require! Enjoyed using the games room too.
The house is absolutely amazing!! Clean, modern, spacious and well equipped. The kids loved the little snug area which has lots of dvds and games to play. The balcony is so cosy and peaceful. Beds are comfortable, showers are lovely and the bath is ginormous! The location is fab too, only a short walk into Looe itself which is beautiful. We throughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return!

Amazing New Year. Loved the fancy dress and fireworks. Great food and pubs and lovely walks along the coast to blow the cobwebs away. Fantastic property, had everything we needed and was in a great location. Worked really well for the 8 of us. Would definitely stay again.
Lovely house and fully equipped for a brilliant holiday. We loved being within easy walking distance to shops, the beach and rock pools. Lots of interesting walks too. There was no traffic noise either. We would thoroughly recommend this property.
