With so many of us sharing our homes and lives with our four-legged friends we know how important it is that holidays work for them too! Whether it be walks, eating out, cool spots in Summer months or just the right pet friendly accommodation we have blogs coming up with all the information you need.
We all know that a good walk is the highlight of most dog’s days and there are numerous options on the doorstep in Looe. The South West Coastal Path can be accessed from the East or West side of Looe and with the most stunning sea views is equally enjoyable for owners and dogs alike. From the West side of Looe the path starts with two large fields that dogs love to race around and explore, picking up the scent of the rabbits that frequent the fields at night.
This section of walk is flat and so manageable for those that struggle with hills and rougher terrain. Carrying on from the fields it gets much more hilly but it is worth tackling for the spectacular views!
The path leads to Talland Bay where you will find the popular Talland Bay Beach Café, the perfect spot for refreshments and a rest where dogs are welcomed. For those looking to adventure further, the next stop is Polperro where there are many delights to enjoy.
For dogs who love the beach both Hannafore beach and Plaidy beach in Looe are dog friendly all year round. Great for dogs who love to dig and also for a cool down in the warmer months for those that enjoy a swim.
Beautiful all year round and perfect for shelter on hot days and also wet days are Kilminorth Woods in West Looe. With numerous paths to enjoy, plenty of tree cover and access to the river for a dip it is a popular spot with local dog walkers.
